Solicitors is staffed by five solicitors
and further support staff. The law firm was founded by Garry
McMahon over 40 years ago in what was then the sleepy market town of
Newcastle West.
At that time, the business predominantly serviced an agricultural clientele as West Limerick was, and still is, one of
the great milk producing areas in the whole of Ireland.
Over the years the practice has evolved along more diverse lines, with a substantial portion of the work coming from litigation, including personal injury litigation arising, for example, from accidents on the road or at work, and also on the public liability front.*

| Our principal qualified as a solicitor in 1959 and is the head of our litigation department. Garry has vast
experience in Plaintiff and Defendant actions from District to High and
Supreme Courts.
Originally from Listowel, Co.Kerry, Garry
is a former Kerry senior football All-Ireland medal holder who still maintains a
keen interest in GAA matters.
He is also a well known ballad singer and has composed many songs as well
as two Irish-language masses - Aifreann Na Riochta and Aifreann ár Sinsear - the latter was performed as part of the Listowel Fleadh 2001 and broadcast on Radio Na Gaeltachta.

| Owen McMahon, Partner, and brother
of Garry, is to the forefront in every aspect of the practice and has considerable experience in all fields, inlcuding; Conveyancing, Family Law, Litigation, Probate, Planning Law and Commercial

Living in Listowel, Owen looks after the
Kerry clientele and may be seen by appointment there. |

an expert in dealing with banks, building societies and financial institutions
in connection with loans as well as helping out in our Probate and other
departments when the need arises. |

| Another Listowel man who brings
to the practice a deep insight into Taxation, Tax Planning and Commercial
matters. Probate is an aspect of the practice to which John lends special
expertise, as well as being up to speed on the latest developments in Legal IT and ensuring that we are up to date with recent legislation.
